Both partners, "m" (Lluis Martínez-Ribes) and "f" (Rosa Franch), started their career in Lleida 32 years ago, not from a garage, but from a 10m2 room of a rented apartment. Since day one we have been combining and applying our specific specializations to the retail world, a field no one else was focusing on at the time.

We have since been working in 22 countries as retailing innovation specialists, but always taking care not to grow too much, as we both want to remain personally committed to all projects we decide to tackle. Our reasons for selecting a project are two-fold: the client’s personal and professional qualities, and the business challenges involved.

Currently, the m+f=! team includes seven professional specialists from several countries, and its head office is based in Barcelona.

Lluis combines consulting work with his position at ESADE as Head Professor of Retail Innovation studies. To him, theory and practice are two sides of the same coin.

Rosa combines her consulting activities as qualitative market research specialist with the management of m+f=!
